Beginning InDesign: No Prior Experience
This course content is geared toward a person who has no experience with InDesign on a production level. You will be introduced to InDesign and learn all the basics.
The class will cover:
• Getting to know the workspace, managing it and customizing
it to your needs
• An introduction to tools and palettes and their importance to document production
• Document navigation including view options and shortcuts
• The basics of good document construction, including guides and grid use, basic typesetting, importing files, text threading, text runarounds and using story editor.
All workshops will be held at the Iowa Newspaper Association offices in Des Moines, Iowa.
Workshop hours: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m.
Cost:
$75/per person for Pages Members
$85/per person for Non Pages Members
(Registration fee includes continental breakfast and lunch)
